Nasty Business

So I as watching the Brier, and up popped a commercial for Strauss Herbs. There were several messages in the 30-second spot. The product is presented as safe, scientific, and evidence based. All intended to make you feel secure in using the product. Evidence-based is a term we hear and see a lot, in health care. Not everyone agrees with the Strauss Herbal message. Dr Terry Polevoy for one, Health Canada for another. Although the government has been satisfied following a court case in British Columbia. Dr Polevoy seems undeterred. This is the nasty side of the Alternative-Care debate. However it is encouraging that with an Internet connection and a few mouse clicks consumers, patients, companies and regulators have the ability to sort things out for themselves. "Evidence-based" can be applied to rhetoric, as well as therapy.

DeadPolevoy is obviously having a bad day. I suggest that they might get some help visiting a few places on the internet where he might be able to get his facts straight. Perhaps the weather up there in Ottawa is getting him down.

And perhaps our little friend from Ottawa might want to tell us all the details about the number of people in his circle of friends who are lining up to sue me.

One of his buddies is presently being sued by Aetna for all sorts of dirty deeds. When it comes to slinging mud and untruths, Tim Bolen joins the ranks in the Defamation Hall of Fame.

Will our friend from Ottawa be far behind? It's clear that his slander and libel has been much worse than Bolen's and in a court of law it would take a jury or judge just a few minutes to render a verdict in favour of anyone he has tried to destroy. Unfortunately his anonymous posts over the last few years have protected his identity. He lives in a world full of hate and lack of control over his life and that of others.

My advice, FWIW, get some real professional help before it destroys you and your family.
